At the end of 2021, Taiwan established the Ministry of Digital Affairs, with an Administration for Cyber Security and an Administration for Digital Industries under it. Businesses of every size have raised information security to a higher priority, appointing chief information security officers and setting up security units to manage information security across the company.

ESi Technology also invested resources in early 2021 to implement an information security management system (ISMS), and passed ISO 27001:2013 certification in June 2022. Beyond strengthening our processes, we take a proactive approach to the information security of the systems we build: using Fortify security testing, we run the necessary scans and security fixes before software projects are delivered to clients. For ESi’s own LINE/CDP solutions, automated scans run as part of our daily DevOps pipeline to keep the code secure.

To make the spirit of the ISMS part of ESi’s everyday work culture, we rolled it out across the whole organization. The scope covers system development, system integration, maintenance services and data center security operations. Along the way, we established a number of practical security management procedures that avoid adding undue burden on colleagues, so the system can be sustained over the long term.

Passing our first ISO 27001:2013 certification is only the beginning of our security management journey. We are confident we will keep refining our management processes, minimize information security risk in projects at every level, and give clients peace of mind in choosing ESi as their partner.
