Putting Sustainability into Practice: ESi Technology Holds a Beach Cleanup

Supporting ESG: ESi Technology rallies employees to clean up a North Coast beach, protecting the ocean through action

To support and practice environmental sustainability, ESi Technology held its first beach cleanup on April 19, 2024, inviting employees and their families to collect beach waste at Shimen Cave Beach on Taiwan’s North Coast. Besides letting employees experience the beauty of Taiwan’s coastline outside work, the event was also a chance to contribute to protecting the marine environment.

On the day, ESi’s co-founder led more than one hundred employees and family members in working together to pick up PET bottles, styrofoam, straws, plastic containers and other waste that doesn’t belong in the ocean’s natural ecosystem. In just an hour and a half, they filled many bags with trash. Even as employees, drenched in sweat, joked that it was more tiring than the gym, they kept using long-handled grabbers to pick styrofoam fragments out of cracks in the rocks, and teamed up in work gloves to free waste trapped under large boulders. This strong team spirit brought the day to a perfect close, and ESi sincerely thanks every employee who took part.

Beyond helping the coastline return to its natural state, the cleanup was above all meant to make employees more aware of the marine litter problem and raise everyone’s environmental awareness, so that they build good everyday habits: sorting waste, not littering, and using fewer single-use products. ESi will continue to focus on environmental sustainability, take an active part in more environmental protection activities, support environmental protection and fulfill its corporate social responsibility through concrete action, and work to mitigate climate change and create a sustainable environment.
